Dr. Merritt Drewery
Assistant Professor of Applied Animal Science
Dr. Drewery is a Texas native, hailing from Baytown. She received her received her BS and MS from Texas A&M University in Animal Science, then received a PhD in Human Nutrition from Louisiana State University. She spent two years in the dairy industry in upstate New York before returning to Texas in 2019 as an Assistant Professor in Animal Science in the Department of Agricultural Sciences.

Research interests:
Dr. Drewery's research program focuses on the evaluation of novel feeds to enhance the sustainability of beef cattle production. She is also interested in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning in Life Sciences, especially as it pertains to underrepresented students.
