The 2015-2020 employment outlook report by the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture and Purdue University published in 2015 states that there is an average of 57,900 jobs expected each year in agriculture. Only 35,400 new U.S. graduates with a bachelor’s or advanced degree in agricultural fields are expected, leaving an employment gap of 22,500 openings per year.
