Dr. Ryan Anderson

Assistant Professor of Agricultural Education & Mechanics

Dr. Anderson taught secondary agricultural education in Illinois after graduating from Illinois State University. He also coached high school baseball and football as an undergraduate and while teaching. After completing his Ph.D., Dr. Anderson work for Murray State University where he taught agricultural systems courses and advised the Collegiate FFA chapter, Agricultural Systems club, and Racer Girls Dance team. Dr. Anderson worked at Iowa State University in the Agricultural Education and Studies department as an assistant professor, he was responsible for the creation and dissemination of the agricultural mechanics curriculum for teacher education. Finally, Dr. Anderson was hired as a professor at Sauk Valley Community College where he started the new agriculture department and established the only student run farm in the state of Illinois. Dr. Anderson has published extensively in professional journals and has presented many award winning papers and posters at various professional meetings.  Hobbies include going to concerts, sports, traveling, and spending time with his family.
