MANRRS 2016 National Career Fair & Training Conference
On March 31st – April 1st, 7 students from the College of Applied Arts (Department of Agriculture) will travel with their advisor, Dr. Dexter Wakefield to the 31st Annual Career Fair and Training Conference in Jacksonville, Florida. They will be attending the National Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences (MANRRS) Conference where they will compete in graduate and undergraduate competitions such as public speaking, oral research discussion and essay. At the conference the students will have the opportunity to meet face to face with industry professionals looking to hire “on-the-spot”. Farm Credit, John Deere, DOW, DOW AgroSciences, Monsanto, DuPont, Cargill, Bunge, BASF, Land O’Lakes, the USDA; and many others are some of the companies that will be at the conference seeking a diverse population of students to fill their needs.
MANRRS is a national organization that foster and promote the agricultural sciences and related fields in a positive manner, while providing career opportunities through its connections with business and industry for the advancement of all people.
